Abstract

A krib is a river protection structure that is installed across a river bank with the aim of directing the current and slowing down the speed of the current around the krib building so that the erosion process will be avoided and sedimentation processes will even occur. Protection using groins can be installed before and after river bends to avoid cliffs from hitting water and regulate the direction of flow. The use of grouts at river bends as erosion protection at bends shows erosion and erosion of existing embankments.
In this study, the river basin planning is based on the maximum flow of the Gedhe River of 289,796 m3/second. Obtained permeable type grouting with installation direction 15˚ inclined upstream. Suitable groin dimensions are 2 meters in length; distance between grommets are 2 m; lighthouse elevation are in 2 m above the riverbed; and the depth of the groin is 3 m
