Abstract

Students as the younger generation are often faced with problems of unstable world conditions and uncertainty inherent in the development stage of the younger generation. Individuals repeatedly seek to improve their careers and personal growth in the face of various challenges, the younger generation is a digital generation that is weak in problem solving, less able to analyze situations and make decisions. Regarding adaptability, the younger generation's career adaptability with career optimism is a very important topic to study further as information that helps provide direction in order to build the career adaptability that students need. The aim of this research is to see the relationship between career optimism and career adaptability in students. The technique used was Random sampling with subject criteria (1) Students semester 1 – 14, (2) Male and female, (3) Aged 18 – 25 years. The number of respondents in this study was 238 subjects. The results of this research are that there is a positive and significant relationship between career optimism and career adaptability.
