Abstract

As is known, the government is actively recruiting government employees with work agreements. But the problem that often occurs with these employees is excessive work load. Therefore, with this problem, many employees experience work stress. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of work stress on the performance of government employees with work agreements. Furthermore, the method used in this research is quantitative with an associative research approach. In this case, 2 scales are used, namely the job stress scale and the individual work performance questionnaire. The subjects obtained were 207 people using a purposive sampling technique which had criteria consisting of Indonesian citizens, aged 20 and over, having a work contract, still working and working either in a government agency or on assignment in a government agency. Then, this data analysis method uses multiple linear regression. Based on the results obtained, it shows that work stress has an influence on the performance of employees with work agreements of 11.5%. Therefore, this proves that work stress has an impact on current performance.
