PEMBERIAN TERAPI MUSIK KLASIK MOZART UNTUK MENGATASI NYERI SENDI PADA PASIEN CHRONIC MYELOID LEUKEMIA

Background:Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a condition characterized by abnormal cell development of hematopoietic cells with symptoms in the form of pain in the joints and bones. Pain that does not improve can affect the quality of life, cause mental and physical disorders, cause discomfort and disrupt sleep. This study aims to identify the effectiveness of Mozart classical music therapy for treating joint pain in CML patients.
Research methods:The research design used in this research is a case study. The research subject was Mr. P, 62 years old, diagnosed with CML who complained of pain. This research was conducted in the Pangandaran room of Dr. Saiful Anwar on April 22 – April 27 2020. Data collection methods were carried out using interviews, observation and physical examination as well as documentation. Mr. P's pain level was measured subjectively based on the Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standards (SLKI) and the Numeric Ratting Scale to measure the scale of pain felt
Results: Mr. P showed a decrease compared to before the intervention was given, namely on the first day, scale 1 (increased) became scale 5 (decreased) until the fifth day and the pain scale started from scale 4 (moderate) to scale 1 (mild).
Conclusion:Mozart classical music therapyeffective for treating joint pain in Mr.P with CML.
