Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of adding various
liquid herbs to the feed as feed additives to the level of helminthiasis in laying hens.
This research was carried out at Kandang Amalia Farm located in Jombang
Regency from August 13 to September 11, 2023. The material used in this study
was 128 Isa Brown strain laying hens that were kept for one month in open house
cages. The research method used was an experimental method with 4 treatments,
namely Control (P0), Yellow Turmeric (P1), Ginger (P2), Temulawak (P3), using
4 repetitions each consisting of 8 chickens. The variable measured was the amount
of decrease in helminth eggs after administration of various liquid herbs. This
research uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis methods. The results
of this study showed that the results of worm eggs per gram of feces (TCPGT)
sequentially from the control treatment, yellow turmeric, ginger, and curcuma amounted to 637.5 epg; 637.5 epg; 467.5 epg; 255 epg. The conclusion of this study is the addition of various liquid herbs of yellow turmeric, ginger, and curcuma to the feed as feed additives effective in reducing the level of worms in laying hens.
Temulawak liquid herbs show the best effectiveness in reducing the level of worms
in laying hens.
