Self control is the ability to control behavior or impulsive behavior and a person's ability to respond to a situation to achieve something more valuable or more acceptable in society. The trend of consumer behavior is an act of a person to purchase goods solely for the gratification of desire or to seek status not to meet the needs and buy stuff because it affected the image of goods and for the rah-rah. Which it covers several aspects, namely: to buy goods because of the trend, buying stuff because a lot of friends who have, the desire for more than the others, buy goods with the intention of seeking a symbol of high status, the use of which is used to rah-rah, his time used to seek pleasure, daily time used to find the symbol of high status. This research was conducted in UB's Faculty of Economics, Malang. The type of research is correlational quantitative nature. The point is that researchers look for relationships between variables and test hypotheses with data in the form of figures obtained from the measurement results. So the main objective of this research is to look for or want to know the Relationship Between Self-Control to Conduct Consumer Trends in Student UB Faculty of Economics, University of Malang. The sampling technique used by researchers is quota sampling. Methods of research data in this study is to scale with statistical techniques Product Moment Analysis. The number of samples in this study are numbered 140 people who are studying at the Faculty of Economics UB Malang force 2002 to 2005. The results of this study indicate that there is a very significant negative relationship between the Control Behave Yourself with Consumer Trends in Student UB Faculty of Economics, Malang, indicated by the correlation coefficient (r) of -0.219 with a probability (p) 0009. This means the higher the lower the self-control behavior tendency konsumtifnya vice versa.
