Abstract

Background: The growth of gland prostat, periodically will tighten and block the urinary tract. If the mecanism of urine evacuation regularly from vesica urinaria and peristaltic ureter movement are disturbed, it will cause the stopped of urine in vesica urinaria. So sufferer will get infection in urinary tract easily. Purpose: The aim of research was to show the relationship Asymptomatik Urinary Tract Infection With Benign Prostat Hyperplasia. Sample & Method: The research which is the observation analitic research use cross sectional approach has sampel 71 person who are diagnosed urinary tract infection, characterized by person whose age more than 40 years old. Taking the data had done by purposive sampling from patient medical record in RSUD Jombang during period January 2007 until December 2008. The data analistic is done by chi­square with trust rate 95 % and mistake risk 5 %. Results & Discussion: Base on the test score of chi­square showed there was not relationship between asymptomatik urinary tract infection with benign prostat hyperplasia (r=0,357 with p=0,423)Conclusion: The asymptomatik urinary tract infection does not have connection with benign prostat hyperplasia.
