Abstract

Aedes sp is one of public health problem in spreading infections desease such as Dengue Hemorhargic Fever (DHF). In the previous study about the efficacy of larvacide effect of krisan flower (crysanthemum indicum) spin, known that krisan flower stin was effective as larvacide against the Aedes sp larvae, which in that study the krisan flower was grainded and then squeezing and finally spining the water from it in order to ease delivery and application to the society. The aim of this study is to know effectiveness of krisan flower (crysanthemum indicum) spin as larvacide against the Aedes sp larvae. The research was experimental research. Samples used in this research were 3 and 4 stadium Aedes sp larvae and concentrations of krisan flower (crysanthemum indicum) spin were: 0 % (control), 0,5 %, 0,6 %, 0,7 %, 0,8 %, 0,9 %, 1 %, 1,1 %, 1,2 %, 1,3 %, dan 1,4 %. The results were on concentration of 1,4 % of the stin, caused the complete death of the larvae (100 %), on concentration of 1,3 %, 1,2 %, 1,1 %, 1 %, 0,9 %, 0,8 %, 0,7 %, 0,6 %, 0,5 %, 0 % (control) krisan flower spin gave 95 % ,81,67 %, 73,33 %, 58,33 %, 48,33 %, 40 %, 33,33 %, 25 %, 15 %, 0 % larva death respectively. ANOVA­one way gave the significance of p = 0,000 with α = 0,01. on the basis of the results above, it can be concluded that krisan flower (crysanthemum indicum) spin effective as the larvacide against the Aedes sp.larvae. Further research should be done to know the effect of the krisan flower spin to gain the smaller dosages in order to avoid the risk of resistence.
