Abstract

Modernization wave asked the teenager to fit themselves with existing change which have some negative influence for Indonesian life, especially the vulnerable adolescent. By the existence of violence, criminal, or moral decadency which was done by teenager group, one of them was violence by motor gank member. Motor gank which in the early stage was only a group of teenager who loved automotive, along the time turned into brutal young people. The turning value in the motor gank member couldn’t be released from the personality of motor gank members itself. The motor gank personality was exposing their need satisfying. The research proved that there were difference between senior and junior member personality. Is there any special personality in senior group, would it give description of motor gank behavior like aggression, self-centered, leader wannabe, grouped. The research aimed to get the personality tendency of all motor gank member in Bandung from need perspective. The research was quantitative descriptive research. The subject men, 13-27 years old who were member of motor gank. The subjects were 20 people, divided into 2 group became 10 senior and 10 junior. Data processing used EPPS test and it was done since April 20th to May 2nd 2008. Data interpretated by table and picture for analysis. From the analysis, in senior group, the high need was defference need which was obeying another person influence and fit with behavior, affiliation need was loyal to friend. Succorance need or getting close with the protector and making people understanding himself and help himself ; aggression need, facing challenge with violence, attack and killed somebody else. In junior group, the highest need was order need. Junior group need a orderly, careful to the plan. Abasement need was passively obeyed the external power, blaming or danger their life. Succorance need was a need to get sympathy from somebody else. Nurturance need was a need to give sympathy, help to protect. From the research could be found that motor gank influenced the development of personality tendency of another members.
