This research had purposed to describe learning concept of alIslam on the basis of PAKEM and to express learning process currently held in SMP Muhammadiyah 08 Batu City. This research uses qualitative approach with Students class VIIB of SMP Muhammadiyah 08 Batu City as its subjects. This school selection is based on some considerations. First, as the research assigned on Muhammadiyah University students, it should righteously focus its attention on Muhammadiyah School as the same education beneficence in organization environment. Second, this junior school has applied PAKEM approach in teaching learningprocess at the classroom. Third, SMP Muhammadiyah 08 of Batu City is one of superior schools in Batu. Data collection technique uses observation, documentation, and either unstructured or structured interview. While, data analysis uses qualitative model. Research result on learning process currently held in class VIIB SMP Muhammadiyah 08 of Batu City, especially in AlIslam Subjects, shows that: (1) the application of PAKEM approach by AlIslam Teacher in SMP Muhammadiyah 08 of Batu City has been succeeded enough. It can be seen from its teaching learning activities that run effectively and efficiently, so that those activities present very well results, even though there still some weaknesses that must be refined. (2) Teachers’ and students’ role in teaching learning process is admitted to be significantly supported each other. (3) There are some notes, which can support and obstruct learning process, that should be able to handle as soon as possible so it does not obstruct teaching learning process in the future.
