Work satisfaction employee is one important aspect to rise human resources skills. If work satisfaction fulfilled, employee will tent to have high motivation, and the opposite thing will conduct if it is not happen such as high of un comfort employee, absence, break down and other negative action. And this could be happen with teacher. This research try to know the work satisfaction of permanent teacher and temporary teacher. This research is qualitative descriptive and conducted in 2 - 7 June 2008 at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang and SMPN 11 Malang and using 66 person as sample. The research result is 45,652% of permanent teacher have high work satisfaction and 54,345% have low of work satisfaction. Meanwhile, 30% of temporary teacher have high work satisfaction and 70% are low.
