Abstract

Today the guidance for using the Indonesian language for students has been conducted at various levels. However, their ability to speak Indonesian very low. Given the still low penguasaaan Indonesian students are, it is necessary to place a research about students' skills in applying the rules of Indonesian language has been learned. One form of these studies is research on Indonesia errors. This study aims to obtain a description of Indonesia errors in the essay class VII Junior High School 1 Malang in Academic Year 2009/2010. Issues under study include (1) writing errors in spelling, (2) error morphological aspects, and (3) syntax error aspect. The population in this study were seventh grade students SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Malang 2009/2010 academic year. Total sample essay set at 20 students or 20%. Sampling was conducted using random sampling techniques, which are operational determination is done by the draw. Sources of data in this study is a written essay of class VII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Malang School Year 2009/2010, while the data in the form of Indonesia errors earlier in the essay the student. The method used in this study is the method used in data processing kualitatif.Teknik descriptive techniques to describe a form of error. Based on the results of the research data showed Indonesia errors in the seventh grade student essay SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Malang 2009/2010 academic year include (1) typing error in spelling of the word truncation error (penyukuan), use of capitalization errors, spelling mistakes on the front and to, the use of punctuation errors point, comma usage errors, (2) error aspect of morphological affixation errors, and (3) errors of syntactic aspects of sentence errors due to mistakes and errors sentence structure because the selection of words (diction) . Based on the fact that thus, the teaching of Indonesian in particular about the spelling lessons in Junior High School 1 Malang needs to be increased by supporting them.
