Beauty is something that is troubling for women. Beautiful image itself is glued to the women themselves, and the beauty myth to say this to us. Where beautiful quality really is, an objective and universal, public and media to create this. This makes women want to own a beauty, because the man must have wanted a beautiful woman. Pressure is what makes women suffer, do anything to get their beauty even if it hurt bad because basically it is a disease that must be healed. Magazine is a magazine adult women in Indonesia under license from Cosmopolitan magazine in the United States and in Indonesia the license is held by PT. Higina Alhadin. Higina Alhadin. Cosmopolitan magazine allegedly carrying supports the beauty myths and fantasies brought about beauty. Based on the above background the researcher formulated the following issues, the meaning and idea of what racial superiority are contained in Cosmopolitan magazine and also the myths of what is contained in Cosmopolitan magazine. Concrete steps to address the above problems is to represent the symbol of racial superiority -symbol of beauty that is within the rubric of Special section: Body Beauty in Cosmopolitan magazine. There are many successful women in a career, get rich and high social position in society. However the still bound by things related to the physical. They always looked at myself negatively for their Fisk or age less than ideal growing increasingly older. Beauty myth states that the quality is pretty bebar called real, objectively and universally. But it is not entirely true, beauty is a system that is in economic circles, beauty is also determined by the political system. Capitalist system plays a role in the myth of beauty, capitalism began to set standards of facial beauty to the body ideal for women. The higher the women's desire for an ideal look, the more open capital owners to develop its business ranging from beauty products and services to transform the body into an ideal that is displayed as the mass media. Then choose the appropriate method to explore the meaning and idea of beauty in Cosmopolitan magazine. The method is felt appropriate qualitative methodology interpretative of the semiotic analysis of this study uses a semiotic approach to Roland Barthestwo order signification, denotative and connotative of non-verbal signs and marks the verb in the magazine that examined the use of narrative structural analysis of Roland Barthes. There is one article that examined the issue of Cosmopolitan magazine in June 2009. . The results showed that the idea of beauty is found that the standard of beauty is a woman with white skin, long nose, tall, thin, smooth. The idea of beauty is still oriented women's white race or races kaukasoid, which is a form of white racial superiority, which it is supported in the home country of Cosmopolitan magazine license the United States as a country with a superior race.
