Abstract

In society, phenomenon of jihad is very interesting to be researched by sociologist. Jihad is one of terms, values and concepts in Islam often got misinterpretation from people. Moreover, term of jihad is connote as kill, blood, rape, battle, and others negative connotation. Actually, term of jihad come from Islam that were populared as “samawi” relligion or sky relligion. In the first time, jihad just known and realized on contects frontal-physical war, included weapon dan millitary soldier. Therefore, on the development period, a part from there is or not physical war today. Jihad had been generalitation, included who understand the board of JPMI Daerah Surabaya business as jihad field. JPMI Daerah Surabaya is an organization that has vision to be an organization that able to develop professional entrepreneur moslem that implement the principles of Islamic business. It consists of entrepreneurs with big level, middle, and small. The aims of this research is to describe the meaning of jihad values and causal factories to implement jihad values in business on five board of Jaringan Pengusaha Muslim Indonesia [JPMI] Daerah Surabaya). Then, to analize sosiological with aproachment symbolic interaction theory. Symbolic interaction is a sociological aproachment and methodology for social reserach to understand action and mean of action. Tragedy and object have no meaning, except there is the meaning given by men in daily social interaction. From this condition, it brings term the “local meaning”. “Local meaning is an object that depend on who give the subject to give the meaning to the object. After analizing the process, the researcher understand the meaning of jihad values and causal factories to implement jihad values in business on five board of Jaringan Pengusaha Muslim Indonesia [JPMI] Daerah Surabaya). There are five meaning of jihad consists of sincerity, work hard, brave, power, resurgence, resistance, and commitment in belief. Researcher also knows the factors to implemement the values of jihad. There are five factors in Islam, following prophet Muhamad SAW, Da‟wah need, the weakness of the competence in moslem enterpreneur and poor. After doing this research, the reearcher hope the society could understand the meaning of jihad from board of JPMI Daeah Surabaya. So that, there is wrong connotation about jihad. Besides, the future researcher could analyze the values of jihad with more complicated problems with sosiological analysis integrated.
