Abstract

Mass media are channels of mass communication, the channel, the means used in the process of mass communication. Mass communication it self that is delivering the message, ideas, or information intended to the people (masses, the public). The characteristics of the mass media itself include: Pubhlisitas (distributed to the public), universality (general note), perioditas (fixed or periodic), continuity (ongoing), actuality (contains new things.). Jawa Pos is ones of the mass media (newspapers) that we know. In preaching, the post having Jawa pos branches represent local news each area publication called "Radar". Such, radar Tulung Agung, Radar Blitar, Radar Malang, Radar Batu, Radar Madiun, Radar Surabaya and so on. As with the national news, the radar also has the sports news segment, called "radar sport". Newsroom sport on the radar of Blitar preach about sports, including football. Also of course do not miss the news about the football club community pride Blitar, Blitar PSBI. PSBI performance conditions that currently go to the caste campaign Liga 2009 Liga Indonesia Blitar make people, especially the "Blitzmania", PSBI fanatical’s supporters more enthusiastic and very enthusiastic. Blitzmania enthusiasm is reflected in various ways support and motivation to their team. Therefore, Radar Blitar trying to give news about PSBI to information needs of the supporters. In this study, researchers talked about how the fans to give meaning to the news about Radar PSBI in Blitar. That the subject of research here, which fans have an emotional relationship that is very tight and secure with the football club they support. Regarding the media coverage of this club, whether they will eventually agree and think the media has been described. This study uses reception analysis, the analysis looked at the audience as part of the interpretive communitive always active in perceiving and producing meaning, not just be passive individuals who only accept the meaning produced by the media. The results of this study indicate that there are giving the same meaning and different research subjects have been examined, position of opposition interpretation, negotiations and dominant. Social aspects of culture and education level affect how the audience a bit of a message or information received. Differences of interpretation occur in the view of the factual aspects of the role of news and news on the informants themselves.
