The block is a structure that supported directly by columns, so that in practice the beam is able to hold above the existing load distribution. This research examines the wide cracks that occur due to the influence of concrete cover thickness variation on the beam horizontally. The sample for the study totaled 12 units consists of 4 types, where each type consists of 3 specimens. Of the four types of specimens have thick concrete cover horizontal variation. Where the variation consists of: 2.5 cm thick blanket stirrup width 5 cm, 2 cm thick blanket stirrup 6 cm wide, 1.5 cm thick blanket stirrup 7 cm wide, and 1 cm thick blanket cross bar 8 cm wide. with test beam baerukuran 10x15 cm with a length of 150 cm, the reinforcement used: O7 mm main reinforcement and transverse reinforcement O4 mm. The results of this study indicate that the beam with a horizontal concrete cover thickness variation affects the crack width and crack propagation. In variations of 0.5 cm thick concrete cover the smallest crack width with the width (w) = 0:56 mm and slower crack propagation while those with the largest crack width beam with variation of 2 cm thick concrete cover, with a width (w) = 1.0 mm and crack propagation faster. Crack pattern that forms occur at mid-span region and the tendency of cracking that occurs is cracked flexible.
