Abstract

The development of AMKE tourist attractions implements Ecotourism based tourism or commonly called ecotourism. The big idea is to preserve nature and maintain the environmental ecosystem. The concept certainly involves the community in a sustainable manner. This land is the Village Treasury Land (TKD) of the Oro-Oro Ombo Village Government in collaboration with residents with a profit-sharing system that is part of the Panderman Forest Farmer Group (KTH). This study aims to describe the implementation of ecotourism development in AMKE tourism in Oro-Oro Ombo Village, Batu District, Batu City. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach and refers to the KIEI concept which is ab le to provide an overview of the Implementation of Ecotourism Development in the Educational Conservation Model Area. With data collection techniques based on the results of observation, interviews, and documentation.
AMKE does have strong Resource potential but is still followed by three main problems in ecotourism development besides also getting challenges on how to maintain continuity and development to increase and income in the Educational Conservation Model Area and answer the Success of Program Implementation to overcome the main problems of AMKE in order to create Sustainable Tourism. Good and sustainable tourism object management can answer all aspects of the problems currently being faced by the AMKE ecotourism object and increase the number of tourist visits.
The results of this study indicate that the Implementation of Ecotourism Development in the Educational Conservation Model Area can be developed optimally based on the KIEI Reference (Indonesian Ecotourism Indicator Criteria) The results of the study on the Implementation of Ecotourism Development in the Educational Conservation Model Area meet the criteria for organizing ecotourism, especially with KIEI, AMKE has met all the eligibility indicators for Ecotourism development, but there are still some shortcomings in each implementation of the indicators, especially in terms of controlling resource capabilities in management, participation of the surrounding community and the level of visitor enthusiasm and limited capital.
