Abstract

Career commitment in teachers refers to the dedication and loyalty of individuals to their profession, while turnover intention is an individual’s intention to leave their job, which significantly impacts educational stability and career development for teachers. This study employs a quantitative correlational approach. It examines the relationship between career commitment and turnover intention among active teachers using questionnaires and correlation analysis. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling, with a sample size of 249 subjects. The measurement tools used include the CCM (Commitment Career Measure) and the TIS-6 scale for measuring turnover intention. The research findings have practical implications for stakeholders in the education sector, emphasizing the importance of understanding and addressing these factors. The results indicate that the career identity dimension is only related to thinking of quitting and intention to search for other jobs, while the career planning dimension is only related to intention to quit. The career resilience dimension also has a relationship with thinking of quitting and intention to search for other jobs but not with intention to quit.
