PEMENUHAN HAK NARAPIDANA PENYANDANG DISABILITAS DI LAPAS KELAS 1 KOTA MALANG MENURUT UNDANG-UNDANG NOMOR 8 TAHUN 2016 TENTANG PENYANDANG DISABILITAS

Prisons are institutions where individuals or members of society who have committed offenses are punished according to the regulations they have violated. Within correctional facilities, there are not only regular inmates but also inmates with disabilities whose rights and obligations need to be acknowledged and fulfilled while serving their sentences. As correctional institutions, they are obligated to provide rights to inmates with disabilities, including those with sensory, motor, physical, and mental disabilities, ranging from healthcare provision, Disability Service Units (DSUs), facilities supporting disabled inmates, to vocational training. In accordance with regulations governing the rights of inmates with disabilities under Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning disabilities, correctional facilities are required to provide wheelchairs, crutches, blind fields, and Disability Service Units (DSU).
