Abstract
Work engagement is an important aspect for an employee to have, this is because work engagement can provide good performance at work. High work engagement is related to psychological capital in an employee. Psychological capital is a psychological state that exists within a person. This research aims to see whether there is a relationship between work engagement and psychological capital in employees. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample size of 154. The measuring tool used to measure work engagement was the Utrech Work Engagement Scale (UWES) with 9 items and the psychological capital measuring tool was the Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ) with 24 items. The research results obtained p = 0.000 and r = 0.718, which means there is a significant positive relationship between the two variables. It can be interpreted that the higher the psychological capital, the higher the work engagement, and vice versa.
