TINJAUAN YURIDIS NORMATIF PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM BAGI "CITIZEN JOURNALISM" DALAM PANDANGAN HUKUM POSITIF INDONESIA

Citizen Journalism is a journalistic activity carried out by non-journalists. The birth of Citizen Journalism activities is one of the influences of the development of the digital world which makes technology and information easily accessible to the public. In its activities, Citizen Journalism does not have a position, activity limitations and legal protection that causes legal consequences. This study aims to analyze and describe the indicators of Citizen Journalism that meet the aspects of positive Indonesian law and legal protection for Citizen Journalism in delivering news to the public. The research method used by the author is normative legal research or commonly known in English as normative legal research. The results of the study show that the indicators of Citizen Journalism in accordance with positive Indonesian law are to comply with the limitations given by the ITE Law, comply with the code of ethics made by PPWI, and follow the Terms and Conditions in the Cyber Media Reporting Guidelines. Legal protection for Citizen Journalism is also not yet regulated in the Law regarding its various activities, but the regulations that can be used by Citizen Journalism at this time are the Law on Freedom of Expression in Public, the Human Rights Law, and the 1945 Constitution.
