Abstract
The Main Service Building of Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital is a Class A
hospital owned by the Regional Government of East Java Province located in the city of Malang. This building has 7 floors and a basement with a total height of 29.35 meters. Reviewing the importance of building functions requires innovation for strong and safe structures. one that can be used is steel structure.
The Main Service Building of Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital originally used a reinforced concrete structure, so in this final project the author intends to re-plan the structure with a castellated beam steel construction design using the LRFD method reference. The use of castellated beam structure because it has the strength to withstand higher stresses than ordinary steel due to its height which reaches 1.5 times higher. The method used to plan steel structures is the LRFD (Load Resistance Factor Design) method, which is a specification issued by AISC (America Institute of Steel Construction).
From the planning results, a 120 mm thick composite plate of floordeck type W-1000 is obtained with M10 - 250 wiremesh reinforcement produced by PT Union Metal. The longitudinal joists use CB 300 x 200 x 8 x 12 profiles and transverse joists use WF 350 x 175 x 7 x 11. The results of the longitudinal main beam use CB 600 x 200 x 8 x 13 and the transverse main beam uses WF 600 x 300 x 12 x 20. The connection on the main beam - column uses the BSEEP (Bolted Stiffened Extended End-Plate) type 8 bolts and supports the structure using a base plate dimension 1200 x 1200 mm with a total of 4 anchors - Ø32mm with a length of 1750 mm.
