Abstract
Online gambling addiction is the impact obtained from the high level of peer conformity that occurs in students. Students often follow their group environment in order not to look different even though this is negative, which initially just tried to follow but turned into addiction due to the ease and benefits perceived from online gambling. This study aims to find out the impact of peer conformity on indications of online gambling addiction in students. The design of this study is non-experimental quantitative with a total of 154 respondents. The scale used in online gambling is the Gambling Symptom Assessment Scale (G-SAS) and the peer compliance scale. Sampling techniques are done using purposive sampling and data analysis using simple linear regression tests. The results show that there is a positive influence between peer conformity and online gambling addiction with the result B = 0,331 and a significance value (p) of 0.000.
