Abstract
Introduction : Depression is a condition that can have an influence on individuals attitudinally, physiologically, intellectually and so on so that it can transform patterns and responses that are generally carried out. Suicide is a conscious effort and aims to end life, the individual consciously and attempts to realize his desire to die. Positive affirmations are a type of therapy which are statements repeatedly said to get rid of negative thoughts and change the way you think to a more positive one. Method : The research design uses qualitative research using a descriptive case study method, namely a nursing process approach in the form of assessment, nursing diagnosis, nursing planning, nursing implementation and nursing evaluation. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The research subject was 1 patient with nursing problems at risk of suicide. Result : After implementing the SP 1 and SP 2 nursing action strategies, the client was able to think positively about themselves, their family and their environment. The client was able to control suicidal desires by changing the client's attitude to be calmer and happier, and wanting to have more time with the family, especially the mother. Conclusion : After implementing the nursing action strategy and pharmacological therapy, verbalization of suicidal desires decreased and there was a change in the client's attitude.
