Abstract

Problem: In the modern era, flooded with abundant information, information technology has significantly transformed how we access information and content. Interactive reading skills have become increasingly important, yet implementing effective interactive reading learning methods remains a complex challenge for individuals. Method: This study aims to propose the design of user stories using the UX Journey method as the best approach to developing features of an interactive reading learning application. The UX Journey method emphasizes a deep understanding of users, their goals, and their experiences. With this approach, researchers aim to design a user experience that allows them to master interactive reading techniques efficiently. The first step is to conduct a user needs analysis through surveys and interviews to gain a deeper understanding of users' challenges and expectations related to interactive reading skills. Subsequently, user stories are developed based on the analysis results, encompassing both functional and non-functional user needs in the context of interactive reading learning. Next, the UX Journey is designed in several stages, including the onboarding stage, interaction with learning materials, interactive exercises, and progress evaluation. Each stage is designed with a focus on providing an adequate user experience, adhering to good UX design principles. User feedback and evaluation are integrated into the design process. A prototype is tested with relevant user participation to measure the effectiveness of the interactive reading learning application and enhance the overall user experience. Results: The expected outcome of this study is the development of a user-friendly, innovative, effective, and efficient interactive reading learning application. Conclusion and Development: The use of the UX Journey method in designing user stories is expected to help users improve their interactive reading skills in an engaging way.
