Abstract
Employee’s job satisfaction can be interpreted as a emotional attitude of employees, both satisfied and unsatisfied in their work. The study purposed to determine the level of job satisfaction of employees in the Business Unit of the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. This research used primary data which were analyzed by descriptive analysis. Data were collected by interview and questionnaires. The description used was a relative frequency distribution table, with the population of 35 employees. Generally, employee job satisfaction was measured through 40 indicators that address job satisfaction: salary, promotions, superiors, coworkers, and their works. The results showed a moderate level of satisfaction, and there was a spread of job satisfaction scores with high deviations. The range of scores of each respondent 40-200, obtained a minimum score of 115, a maximum score of 188, an average score of 148.6 and a standard deviation of 13.829. They need motivation and direction of the leader, harmony in the work environment, leadership commitment, good communication between employees and superiors, the existence of a clear job description, and evaluation of each job.
