Abstract
The construction of high-rise buildings in major cities presents its own challenges, particularly in the selection of appropriate heavy equipment. Heavy equipment such as tower cranes and mobile cranes play a crucial role in the construction process, especially in lifting and moving materials to the required heights. The right choice of crane not only affects the efficiency and effectiveness of the project but also the safety and overall costs.
The steps of the work are carried out according to the sequence of activities to be performed. The sequence begins with data collection, including drawings and specifications of each heavy equipment, Tower Crane and Mobile Crane, followed by analysis of both equipment with the help of a concrete bucket. Then, after analyzing the collected data, a comparison is made to reach the conclusion and recommendations stage.
Based on the calculation of the execution time for structural work, which includes concreting and material lifting using a tower crane and a mobile crane, the productivity values obtained are 2.202 M3/hour for the LC Comansa 150 tower crane and 2.055 M3/hour for the RT 130 mobile crane. The most optimal heavy equipment in the planning of the construction project is the LC Comansa 150 tower crane with a higher productivity value of 2.202 M3/hour.
