PELAKSANAAN PENYIDIKAN DALAM TINDAK PEMALSUAN NOMOR RANGKA DAN NOMOR MESIN KENDARAAN BERMOTOR HASIL PENCURIAN (STUDI DI POLSEK LOWOKWARU MALANG)

Investigative measures include identification of stolen vehicles, tracing of illegal sale and purchase transactions, and forensic examination of suspected fake frame and engine numbers. The role of forensic technology is crucial in enforcing the law in these cases, with techniques such as engine fingerprint analysis and forensic data comparison to verify the authenticity of vehicle numbers. Investigators must also face challenges from increasingly sophisticated illegal practices, including the use of high technology to produce counterfeit numbers that are difficult to detect. Effective law enforcement in vehicle number forgery cases requires good coordination between various government agencies, the use of advanced forensic technology, and increased public awareness of the importance of compliance with regulations on vehicle identification.
