Abstract

This research discusses the application of the Group Investigation (GI) model in mathematics learning to improve students' critical thinking skills. Findings suggest that GI can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts, although there are challenges in model compatibility for students with different performance levels. This research also highlights the importance of teacher training to implement GI effectively and adapt the method to student needs. In addition, contextual variables such as group size and type of learning material influence learning outcomes. By integrating various types of investigations in GI, it is hoped that students' learning experiences will become more interesting and in-depth, preparing them to face more complex mathematical challenges in the future.
