Abstract
Background : In Indonesia it is estimated that there are 65% - 85% of people who
experience / suffer from Low Back Pain. Low Back Pain is a problem such as chronic or
acute pain in the lower back or lumbar region. One form of exercise used to relieve pain
in LBP patients is with a Mc.Kenzie Exersice therapist. Coolie building at PT. Garuda
Bangkit Jaya, Madiun City, which experienced LBP as many as 29 people. So that
researchers have an interest in conducting research on the Effect of Mc. Kenzie Exercise
Against Pain Relief in Myogenic Low Back Pain (LBP) Coolie Building in PT. Garuda
Bangkit Jaya Madiun City. Objective : To determine the influence of Mc. Kenzie
Exercise on the reduction of myogenic Low Back Pain (LBP) pain in coolies in PT.
Garuda Bangkit Jaya Kota Madiun. Research Methods : This study used a research
design that was used pre-experimental with One Group Pre-test and Post-Test. The
research sample of 29 respondents who met the inclusion criteria obtained through total
sampling techniques. Results : Based on the results of the calculation of the T Test
(Paired Sample Test) using SPSS with Probability (sig) = 0.176> 0.05, H1 was accepted.
Thus, the results of the study found that there was an influence of Mc Kenzie Exercise on
pain reduction with complaints of Miogenic Low Back Pain in Coolers in PT. Garuda
Bangkit Jaya Kota Madiun. Conclusion : The results, that Mc. Kenzie Exersice has an
effect on pain reduction in Low Back Pain patients, which prior to treatment the average
pain was 4.48 while after treatment the pain was 4.00.
