EFEKTIVITAS TERAPI SUCTIONING IN TRACHEOSTOMY DAN HEAD UP 30 UNTUK MEMPERTAHANKAN KEPATENAN JALAN NAFAS TERHADAP PASIEN DENGAN PENYAKIT PARU OBSTRUKTIF KRONIS

Background : In patients with respiratory failure, airway impatience often occurs due to decreased consciousness which causes prolonged bed rest and gives rise to a buildup of secretions in the airway which hinders airway patency, patients with inadequate oxygenation (due to decreased arterial oxygen pressure) which cannot be corrected by administering supplies. oxygen via nasal cannula or mask, inadequate ventilation due to increased carbon dioxide pressure in the arteries.
Methods : The design of this research is a case study, with a sample of 2 patients who were treated in the ICU room at Kanjruhan Regional Hospital with a medical diagnosis of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) using interview data collection methods, physical observation/examination, and documentation study.
Results : The results of the research analysis, after the suctioning and headup 30 intervention were carried out, improved results were obtained based on the SLKI (PPNI, 2020) with the criteria for effective cough (moderate), sputum production (decreased), Ronchi (decreased).
Conclusion : The results of the analysis of 2 patients showed that the provision of suctioning therapy and 30° head up with airway clearance nursing problems was effective in maintaining airway patency.
