Abstract
Every year, population growth in the world increases. This also happened in Jombang Regency, especially Wonosalam District. Population growth will certainly increase the need for infrastructure that can support the population's survival. One of them is the need for water, especially during the dry season. The Karangan II Embung planning is one answer to meet these needs, especially for irrigating rice fields, which is also known as irrigation. Based on the results of the author's study in the research entitled PLANNING FOR THE KARANGAN II EMBUNG IN WONOSALAM DISTRICT, JOMBANG REGENCY" can be concluded, with 20 years of rain data from Wonosalam Station in 2000-2019 through hydrological analysis, it is known that the design flood discharge with a return period of 100 years is 53.42 m3/sec. The maximum storage capacity of Karangan II Embung is 14,175 m3 with dead storage of 2,244 m3 and effective storage of 11,931 m3. Reliability 85.42%. The design of the spillway building uses an Ogee type shape, with a slope of 1:1 and a Froude Number of 5.639 as the basis for using USBR Type III as a type of stilling pond. The results of the slope stability analysis on the body of the embung with backfill construction have a safety factor value of 1.503 > 1.5, which means it is safe.
