Abstract
In the current era, there are so many people who play online games from children to adults. Playing online games is considered as a medium to channel fun. Interest in online games causes a person to behave consumptively. This study aims to determine consumptive behavior in game addiction of Pragmatic Play game players. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The data collection method uses interviews and documentation. The subjects in this study were Pragmatic Play game players who experienced game addiction with a minimum transaction criterion of three hundred thousand rupiah to ten million rupiah and experienced an increase in the duration of playing games with more than three to five hours. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. The results showed consumptive behavior in game addiction, namely waste such as transactions of up to tens of millions to get in-game winnings. This has an impact on health and maladaptive behaviors such as forgetting time and obligations, and being in a lot of debt. In addition, there are positive and negative emotions that can cause interpersonal conflicts with someone such as fighting to hitting others.
