Abstract
Exposition text material and response text are materials that are difficult for students to understand. Exposition text material is difficult for students to understand because exposition text is text that provides information or knowledge based on facts. While the response text is a text that is intended to provide an assessment or criticism of something in a language that is conveyed politely. In addition, there are no class IX Indonesian books issued by the government. Most of the books currently circulating do not use the independent curriculum and there is no strengthening of the Pancasila student profile. The aim of this study is to develop interactive teaching materials for Indonesian language subjects for grade IX SMP/MTs on exposition text material. In addition, this study aims to develop interactive Indonesian language teaching materials for grade IX SMP/MTs on response text material.
This type of research is development research. The model used in this study uses the Recursive Reflective Design and Development Model (R2D2) adapted by Jerry Willis. The research instrument used was by distributing validation questionnaires to experts and practitioners. The procedure carried out in this study consisted of three stages carried out in this research, namely the definition, development and dissemination stages. Data were analyzed using the icon index calculation.
The results of this study are in the defining stage of the researcher finding an analysis of material needs. At this stage, it was found that the factors causing the lack of interest of students in the material of exposition texts and response texts. These factors are boring learning media, activities that are fixated on activities in class, books that do not fulfill the strengthening of Pancasila student profiles, and activities that can only be accessed at school. At the development stage it is carried out by means of a literature study. From the literature study activity it was found that there was no government yearbook for grade nine. The next stage, namely the dissemination stage, was carried out by practitioners and experts. This research produced teaching materials for expository text material and response text based on the independent learning curriculum. Teaching materials are declared valid with a percentage of 0.79% until 1.07%. Valid data based on aiken v calculations. based on these results the teaching material is declared feasible to use.
