Peran Keluarga Dan Toleransi Ambiguitas Pada Efikasi Diri Pengambilan Keputusan Karier Mahasiswa

Family influence and tolerance of ambiguity play a role in shaping students' self-confidence in career decision-making.
This research aims to determine the role of family and tolerance of ambiguity in students' self-confidence in deciding
on a career. This is a cross-sectional study. The research subjects were 157 students from the Faculty of Psychology,
University of Muhammadiyah Malang, selected using an accidental sampling technique. Data collection was carried
out using a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using regression tests. The analysis found that family and
tolerance of ambiguity were associated with students' self-confidence in determining career choices. Tolerance of
ambiguity was significantly linked with self-confidence in deciding a student's career more than family roles. Research
implications indicate that students may think positively in assessing changes in the current world of work, accept
changes, seek clarity on ambiguous matters, monitor labor market demands, and develop personal competencies
based on market demands. Parents may support students by sharing information about work and providing emotional
and financial support for their self-development.
