Abstract

Based on a previous study, it was found that students experienced disorders due to the influence of bullying behavior. Some of these effects include anxiety, despair, low self-esteem, self-harm and even suicide. One important component that influences how individuals react and manage bullying events is resilience. There are several factors that influence resilience, one of which is emotion regulation. Thus, this study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between emotion regulation and resilience in student victims of bullying. This study used a correlational quantitative approach with a sampling technique in the form of purposive sampling. The instruments used are the Emotion Regulation Questionnare (ERQ) scale and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC). The subjects in this study amounted to 151 students. Data were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that there is a positive relationship between emotion regulation and resilience (sig. 0.000 <0.05), where the higher the emotion regulation, the higher the level of resilience of students who are victims of bullying, and vice versa.
