PROGRAM PEMBINAAN NARAPIDANA NARKOBA DI LEMBAGA PEMASYARAKATAN (LAPAS) KELAS II B PASURUAN

Correctional institutions are places designed for the rehabilitation of convicts. These institutions offer specific rehabilitation programs tailored for the inmates. In these programs, inmates are taught to recognize the errors they have committed, which includes developing economic skills and religious awareness. The objective of this research is to understand the rehabilitation programs and their impact on drug-related convicts. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data for this study was collected through interview techniques, observations, and documentation. Data analysis used qualitative data analysis methods by Miles and Huberman, involving data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. To verify the data's authenticity, credibility testing was employed in this research. The results of this study reveal that (1) rehabilitation programs for drug-related convicts provided by the correctional institution, which include programs promoting self-reliance, personality development, and spiritual guidance, have been effectively implemented. (2) The impact of these programs is positive for the convicts, as they help restore them as fully self-aware individuals who recognize their mistakes, possess skills, and are better prepared in terms of mental, spiritual, and even economic aspects to face challenges in society.
