Abstract
This thesis is entitled Indonesian Public Diplomacy Through the Implementation of F1 Powerboat Lake Toba. This research analyzes how Indonesia's efforts in using public diplomacy in organizing F1 Powerboat on Lake Toba. With the presence of the F1 Powerboat event on Lake Toba, it is hoped that it can become a momentum for increasing the tourism economy in Lake Toba after the co-19 pandemic. This event is also expected to have a multiplier impact on the economy of the Lake Toba community, one of whose regional income is contributed through tourism economic activities. In this research, using a descriptive method with a qualitative analysis approach is considered capable of explaining Indonesia's public diplomacy efforts through organizing F1 Powerboat on Lake Toba. The concept used is public diplomacy by Mark Leonard, with the operationalization of the concept of 3 dimensions of public diplomacy, namely news management, strategic communications, and building relationships. With the concept of public diplomacy, the author analyzes how Indonesia's public diplomacy efforts through the implementation of F1 Powerboat Lake Toba.
