Abstract
Indonesia's tea production in the last three years (2020-2022) has decreased
slightly by 0.97%, from 144,063 tons in 2020 to 123,662 tons. The development of
Indonesian tea is expected to become one of the leading commodities. The purpose
of this study is to analyze the trend of tea production in Indonesia, to analyze the
future development of tea. The data analysis method is trend analysis and uses a
quantitative descriptive research design with a secondary data analysis (ADS)
approach. This type of research data is in the form of secondary data (time series).
The result of this study is that the trend of Indonesian tea production is
experiencing a negative trend with an average tea production rate during 2013-
2022 of 1.17%, meaning that there is a decrease in tea production by 1690.8 Ha
every year. The development of Indonesia's tea agroindustry has quite good
prospects in the future in terms of the tea raw beverage industry, as well as the
diversification of processed tea products.
