Abstract
One technological system that is quite promising in utilizing solar energy systems is the Photovoltaic (PV) system. Judging from the past few years, its development has been relatively large compared to other types of renewable energy sources. The proposed system uses Boost Converter and Buck Converter, supporting seamless power management between PV, battery and load. Various operating modes are proposed, such as PV mode to meet load needs, PV to meet battery needs or carry out the charging process, and also the battery to meet load needs or the discharging process. This can be achieved by the presence of stress zones applied in the control system. Using the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Perturb and Observe (P&O) algorithm. This algorithm uses PV voltage and current information to produce a reference voltage from the PV as output. The PV-battery control method used is Proportional-Integral (PI) based control.
