Abstract
Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that is still widespread in Malang. A common problem that is often encountered in the field is that many people still have a negative stigma regarding TB disease and sufferers. Interpersonal communication is considered the most effective in changing the attitudes, beliefs, opinions and behavior of communicants. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method with data collection techniques of passive participant observation, interviews and documentation. This research was analyzed using 4 interpersonal communication patterns, namely primary patterns, secondary patterns, linear patterns and circular patterns. The interpersonal communication pattern used by Yabhsya Cadres is a primary pattern, namely communication using verbal language where the Cadres use two mixed languages, namely Javanese and Indonesian. Apart from that, the cadres apply a circular pattern where feedback occurs between the cadres and the community. Cadres also apply a linear communication pattern, namely face-to-face communication. The secondary communication pattern is used by Yabhsya Cadres where communication uses communication tools or means such as leaflets, bali sheets and pamphlets as communication media. The interpersonal communication pattern used by Yabhsya Cadres is the primary pattern, namely the communication pattern carried out using verbal language. Apart from that, the communication pattern used by the cadres is a circular pattern, namely feedback that creates increased public awareness of healthy lifestyles and increased awareness of getting checked for TBC.
