Abstract

This research aims to find out methods that can improve battery quality so that the battery has a long lifetime by improving the battery management system. The use of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) requires batteries to store electrical energy. Battery quality affects the sustainability of energy use, so it requires a Battery Management System (BMS). Improving the accuracy of State of charge (SoC) estimation is important. Accurate SOC measurements can prevent the battery from experiencing over-voltage, over-current and over-heat conditions when charging and also experiencing under-voltage when discharging and can reduce the decline in battery lifetime. So in this research to analyze the Battery Management System and SoC using the Coulomb Counting method, accurate SOC measurements can prevent the battery from experiencing over-voltage, over-current and over-heat conditions during the charging process, as well as preventing under-voltage.
