Abstract
Abstract. Culturally, women are required to perform roles in the domestic sector, namely taking care of the household, but along with the times gender roles are increasingly equalizing roles between men and women. A married woman will be faced with the demands of a dual role that can do everything, if she does not have good self-compassion, this will result in her judging herself as a failure and the shortcomings that occur are not in accordance with the desired expectations, as if the decision the woman is very limited and never precise. This also causes women to haveconflicts that affect their work and family. Based on these problems, self-compassion is needed to prevent work family conflict. The subjects of this study were 130 mothers working in the banking sector who were determined by accidental sampling technique. Using a quantitative approach with simple linear regression data analysis that tests the self-compassion scale instrument against the work and family conflict scale. The results of this study indicate the influence of self-compassion on work family conflict negatively by 33.8%.
