Abstract

Due to the dense industrial and residential areas, a region typically has high electricity demands. Therefore, every power plant must generate an ideal amount of power to meet the customer demand distributed by PLN. However, instability in the power generation system can disrupt the plant's performance, preventing it from producing the ideal amount of power. To measure the reliability of the power generation system, reliability system analysis methods are used, focusing on Loss of Load Probability (LOLP) and Loss of Load Expectation (LOLE) based on the Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL) 2016-2025. PLTD Sei Raya, located in West Kalimantan, is the main subject of this study. This PLTD provides electricity to several areas in the city of Pontianak. The power plant was built in 1987 with additional machines installed in 1993. In this study, calculations of LOLP and LOLE are used to analyze the system's reliability. The study refers to previous research that discusses system reliability, which has yielded different results. Based on prior studies, some results meet and others do not meet the established reliability standards. Therefore, to determine the reliability of the Sei Raya diesel power generation system, the author proposes the calculation system LOLP and LOL). This research is titled "Reliability System Analysis Study of Sei Raya Diesel Power Plant Using LOLE and LOLP Calculation Methods.
