Abstract
The increasing need for electrical energy in Indonesia every year causes various problems in supply availability, increased air pollution and environmental damage due to mining of fuel for power plants. The problem of electricity supply availability and increasing air pollution is also experienced by the people of Kangean Island. This research aims to determine the technical and economic feasibility of planning a wind power plant in Arjasa Kangean Island. The electrical energy that the Nordex N27/150 wind turbine can produce with an average wind speed of 5.21 m/s is 24.55 kWh. Using the LCC and LCoE methods, the cost of generating electricity per kWh is Rp. 2,080,- . With a selling price of Rp. 2,288,- per kWh obtained NPV > 0, IRR 22% and PBP 3 years 4 months. So that the planning for a wind power plant in Arjasa Kangean Island is feasible to be realized.
