Translation is the process of changing text from one language to another with the aim of maintaining the same meaning of the original text. This portfolio will discuss the process of translating and providing subtitles for the Arabic film entitled Mukaarimul Akhlaq Khotimul Mursaliin which contains elements of the stories of the Prophet's friends. Translation is carried out carefully and takes into account the cultural context and target language so that the film's message can be conveyed accurately. The subtitles provided help viewers who do not understand Arabic to follow the storyline and understand the dialogue and narration in the film. This process involves choosing the right words, adjusting the timing, and layout of the subtitles to match the visual appearance of the film. With good translation and subtitles, viewers who do not understand Arabic can still enjoy and understand the contents of the film comprehensively. This translation process uses the Communicative Translation and Free Translation methods. Both of these methods have their own advantages, Free Translation gives freedom of expression to the translator, while Communicative Translation focuses more on clarity and understanding of the message to be conveyed.
