Abstract

One of the most frequently produced agricultural subsectors is food. The planning of rice production activities from the trend of rice farming can be seen through the costs incurred by farmers in the form of labor, production facilities and fertilizers used during planting activities. The area of land used to carry out farming activities affects the production of farming. The larger the area of land used to carry out farming activities, the greater the income obtained. This study aims to analyze rice trends in Indonesia during the 2012-2022 planting period. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a Secondary Data Analysis (ADS) approach. The analysis method used is a quantitative descriptive analysis model based on the results of analysis obtained from secondary data obtained and processed in such a way for trend analysis needs. Forecasting will involve taking historical data (last year's sales) and projecting them into the future with mathematical models. Based on the results of research that has been carried out on forecasting the area and rice production in Indonesia, the trend of rice area area in Indonesia is experiencing a downward trend / negative trend with an average rate of rice area during 2012-2021 of 1.41%. Meanwhile, the trend of rice production in Indonesia tends to experience a negative trend with an average of 2.1% per year. The trend of rice productivity has also decreased from year to year by 1.8% per year. The forecast of rice area, production, and productivity in Indonesia in 2023-2027 has decreased from previous years.
