PERAN PENYULUH PERTANIAN DALAM PEMBERDAYAAN ANGGOTA KELOMPOK TANI TEBU (Studi Kasus: Desa Brangkal Kecamatan Balongpanggang Kabupaten Gresik)

Extension is a form of knowledge against human behavior, the presence of a group of farmers, the provision of means of production and application of technology more easily planned and cooperative of the farmer group members would be better so that farming activities can be realized as well as the problems faced in implementing business farmer can easily to resolved.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of agricultural extension in empowering of farmer group members and to identify and analyze the role of extension in empowering farmers in terms of knowledge skills and attitudes as well as to analyze whether the presence of the empowerment of farmer group members can increase the production of farmer business in Brangkal Sub, Balongpanggang District, Gresik Regency. This location was chosen by purposive sampling (accidentally) is the consideration that these locations are farmer groups that have long formed. This research was conducted from 07 May to 14 May 2024
The research of this results from the data that obtained during the study of the role empowerment of farmer group members can be concluded that the role of educator in empowering members of farmers in Brangkal Sub, Balongpanggang Districts on Gresik farmer groups is still relatively low, while the group of Nijalling is high. This is because there are still some problems found in the field faced both educator and farmers selves as obstacles of educator like difficulty to facing farmers who do not want to cooperate, competition among farmer groups, while barriers of farmers is difficulty of practicing the policy extension is plagued by the problems of geographical, time, energy, age and participation of farmers in agricultural extension still low.
