Abstract
Pine Hill tourism has its own attraction for visitors, including natural panoramas, photo spots, complete facilities and fairly affordable rates. However, the problem that hinders the development of Pine Hill tourism is the lack of cooperation between communities in channeling thoughts, energy and skills, as well as maintaining the attractions and spots in it, so that development cannot be optimal. The aim of this research is to determine the characteristics of the managers and communities around the Pine Hill tourist area and to identify studies of the social capital of the managers and communities of the Pine Hill tourist area. The method for collecting primary data from respondents is through participant observation, in-depth interviews using semi-structured question guides and a list of Social Capital Assessment Tool questions that are modified according to the research focus. This is because the main factor is the lack of management's approach to the community around the Pine Hill tourist area.
