Abstract

Career anxiety can be experienced by everyone, both those who have entered the world of work and those who are just preparing to enter the world of work. An individual's ability to adapt to a career and perceived control certainly plays an important role in overcoming career anxiety, especially for school students. Therefore, the aim of this research is to find out whether perceived control mediates the effect of career adaptation on career anxiety. The subjects in this research consisted of 217 students from the Serang Agricultural State Vocational School with an age range of 16-18 years. The instruments used in this research is the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS), Future Career Anxiety, and Spheres of Control Scale. The results of this study indicate that perceived control does not mediate the effect of career adaptability on career anxiety.
